Lackland chiefs run marathon for Memory Care

Members of the 33rd Network Warfare Squadron and the 26th Network Operations Group kept the baton moving for their part of the 24-hour POW/MIA Vigil Run at the Gillum Fitness Center track, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, Sept. 15. Volunteers also read aloud the names of American military members listed as prisoners of war or missing in action. Other 24th Air Force units that took part in the run included Headquarters 24th Air Force, the 346th Training Squadron, the 624th Operations Center, the 90th Information Operations Squadron, and the 690th Information Operations Squadron. Airman 1st Class Christopher Farrell, a 54th Combat Communications Squadron ground radar systems journeyman at Robins Air Force Base, Ga., asks his girlfriend, Amanda Walker, to marry him while at Scenic Mountain, El Paso, Texas, June 3. The couple recently won an essay contest for a $70 thousand wedding at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Ga. Atlanta Wedding Loft held the contest as a way to give back to a military couple.
